Of course that is assuming your processor is not locked. It is next gen so you probably can. I would expect to see a noticeable improvement because you have a really good GPU.
Any idea how high you might want to go?
I think he means air coolers. A.k.a. the Cooler Master Evo 212 or similar.
If the i5 or i7 processor has a "K" at the end it's the overclockable version.
To OP: I would definitely try to overclock. Obviously you will need a third party cooler installed on your motherboard.

Personally I wouldn't refer to those as cooling towers. They are fan coolers or air coolers.
