Laptop Help

I need a laptop for games to play during trips and to use to type essays and stufff for school.

I have pinned it down between a laptop equipped with a GeForce 820m and an Intel i3 4005u and a laptop equipped with a GeForce 820m and an Intel i5 5200u.

Which one should I go with? I know the I5 is more powerful but most sites are saying that the 820m should be paired with a more modest processor (like the 4005u). I'm guessing this is implying there will be a bottleneck of sorts with more advanced CPU's but i'm not sure what's advanced and what's not here. If its not to big of a preformance hit, I would rather go with the i3 because I could spend the remaining money on a mouse and other accessories, but I dont mind paying the extra money if it means more power.

Im on a budget f 400$ here, and the i3 laptop is 329$ and the i5 is 389$.
