a pentium g will beat them at everything, or i3 wont cost much more
if you can get the i5 as above, thats the way to go
Cable management is only something to worry about if the cables get in the way of airflow or you are building for a display on a show floor...
As long as the cables are out of the way enough for air to come into and out of the case... you're golden.
