Network support for backup and restore

Please allow for network destination and source when doing backup.

For me this function is not usable as I have no local disk space to backup to. But I do have plenty of NAS disk space that cant be used.

This would be awesome, expecially for who keeps all their their backups and media shared for ease of access on every computer.

Wow, old request. It can work if you assign a drive letter to a share iirc. But what I would like is for Steam to just read the network locations like any other normal windows program. Currently it doesn't do that so UNC path names can't be found.

Seriously, this feature should be a given. Or, even better, recognize steam installations over network and allow copying games as installation from them. Should be Useful for family sharing feature so the pc next door doesn't have to download the whole game again. Would also reduce load on the steam download servers
