Not going to happen. Even though it's what everyone imagined with the word first came out of game sharing. But what really was given to us was this... disappointing feature with limited use.

I am really not getting why every one saying these... i mean in the end its some thing great that i remmber saying will not happen it all and its something in the end

For some it may not be good for me its not that bad at all as i own much games most my famliy dose not and when i do not play or play a non-steam game they can use my games... that is awesome in many ways

The way it was talked about in the beginning made it seem a LOT different. Statements likening it to what consoles were able to do, mainly

Limiting it to the whole Library at once was the first disappointing difference. The second disappointment being that you had to log into the computer with your own account first, rather than just authorizing an account to use your Library.

The way it works now is extremely limited, and not at all like users of a console.

well how hard is it to login once?

Any how so from what i understand its most of all a high hope that never got to be fulfill?

It's "Family Sharing", not everybody sharing, even if half a world apart.

There has to be limitations or there would be nothing but abuse of the system.

Hard, when you don't have physical access to the computer in question. Unless you trust others with your login info. The old info page before it went into Beta and Live was very misleading about who would actually be able to share your games, and how it would be accomplished. It rose everyone's hopes up and dashed them when it finally came out.

Official statements likening it to loaning games like consoles can, basically.

As is, it's basically nothing more than a complicated way to give family members their own saves and achievements while using your account.

The old promotion page specifically said it was not just for "Family" but friends too, anyone.

Obviously, the option to share with anyone is still there... but with the limitations imposed, you are going to take much more care about who can access what and I don't see any problem with that... the system is intended for allowing access to a family members games when they aren't using them. it does exactly that.

It's slightly different page now that the system is fully released and all the rules and regulations on the system have been fully disclosed to the users.

ok found it seem you are right
Steam Family Sharing allows close friends and family members to play one another's games while earning their own Steam achievements and saving their own game progress to the Steam cloud. It's all enabled by authorizing a shared computer.
so i guess in a way they found they were not clear (or maybe plan something else before) and change it as of that

Sounds more like you'd buy a bigger variety of games but still spend the same amount of money
