Add wine support for steam in steamOS/linux
I have a lot of games in steam (more then 180) and only half of then have native linux version.
It will be very good for linux users and steamOS/steam box if valve add possibility to play windows games on linux/steamOS. This can be done by integrating wine in steam.
Also valve can join to wine project to improve quality and fps for windows games under linux/steamOS. This will give big boost of steam box and linux gaming.

Valve buying Codeweavers would actually totally rock.

Valve is trying to get away from using windows based architecture. Using Wine would counter that.

A direct Linux support would make it so developers are still responsible for supporting their product. Using Wine would put that burden on Valve as the developer would just say "This was designed for windows, not Linux. We won't offer tech support unless it is on a native windows install.".

This has been debated many times already. It is unlikely to happen. What Linux needs is direct support form the developers to make Linux based games and Linux gaming successful.
