Is in dire need of regulation, this idea is presently a clear 'get out of jail' card for devs/pubs. Where’s the consumer protection? At least let us filter these despicable attempts to take our money with no reasonable guarantee of delivering a finished product.

yup, they need to be able to set a time of release. there is some games like star forge who had on their FAQ "when will it be ready?" 2014 and now they are saying they are nowere near and will push for 2015 with little to no updates.

description needs to give more info on the game not just "help us develop it" more along time lines of

- Game description
- early access description
- estimate completion time

the early access has been used as a way to get people to buy an unfinish product and sometimes not even finish it. when you pre order a game you get an estimated time of release, why should early access be the exception?
