VAC Notification Prior to Posting
Every second thread within the 'VAC Discussion' is a user complaint or enquiry to get their account unbanned -- it's not very easy to get a decent discussion regarding VAC going while having to dig through the pile of locked topics.

Would it not be wonderful to have a notice displayed to accounts which contain 1 or more VAC bans that they should contact Steam support rather than submitting a post on the forums?

Something like this:

The ideal solution would be to restrict the forum to non VAC banned accounts, but that seems a little drastic.

Edit:
I'm hoping some moderators support this idea, I believe it would make your reported post queues a little shorter or at least less moderation of nonsense.

They won't read that any more than anything else... rules and guidelines, pinned threads, the TOC, SSA, support FAQ. It'd just be a waste of time.

I think it be better if they will have to read these before posting (even that most likely they will not)

note the:
Steam Support cannot remove the ban on your account
Regardless of who was using your account at the time it was banned, the use and security of your Steam account is your responsibility.

Important:
All VAC bans are permanent - Valve has a zero-tolerance policy for cheating and will not lift VAC bans under any circumstances.

It's a nice idea and should still happen, but Vampire has a point, people will still 'somehow' miss it all and post it anyway.

I think it would be a good move to FORCE people to read the guidelines before they post on the forums for the first time. And to make sure they read it, quiz them on its contents

Then again, I'm not a moderator nor am I Steam Client dev, so IDK what I'm talking about.
