You can have DX11 installed but if your hardware doesn't support DX11, you will run into issues such as this.

System specifications would be helpful in this determination.

ok roughly:
AMD quad core 4.4 GHz processor
8GB ram
Windows 7 64 bit
A random 2GB graphics card
Hope it helps

A random 2gb graphics card? that actually doesnt help at all, your graphics card would be the most important thing to know in order to help you.
Is it just those two games that crash or other ones as well?

And you say a 4.4 ghz AMD processor, well that is a random number, so I assume its overclocked, but since you don't know the specifics of your system, I wouldnt recommend OCing. If it is, then that might be the problem.

Do you mean the FX 4170, which is a quad at 4.2 ghz with a 4.4 Turbo?

i got the same problem with crysis 2: as long as you didnt sole the problem, why u no reinstall the videocard driver? that workd for me for crysis 2

its a decent graphics and can run dirt 3 on best quality with no lag. Aslo its only those two games that crash. Those are the only games that ask me weather i would like to use Directx9 or Directx 11 thats why i think its something to do with that.

Yea but you don't know what card you have? is it Nvidia or AMD(ati)? do you have the latest drivers?

And what CPU do you have? Is it overclocked?

These are all important things to know in order to solve your problem.

Also, I can't really attest for saints row 3, but shogun 2 is a very damanding game, more so than Dirt 3...

Ok that is good, and you havent OC'd it? Now if you have a Radeon, do you know the 4 digit number attached to it, like 6850 or 7770?

I would try installing all the latest drivers, especially the AMD(ati) ones, and see if that helps. Also make sure that all your clocks on CPU and GPU are at stock, and monitor temperatures to make sure something is not overheating.

Its he same graphics card bur the 2gb version.
I over clocked it from 4.2 to 4.4 but it worked on niether. How would i find the updates?

Well first I would not OC, put all your clocks to default.
Second, while the 6670 is a decent card, it is mid to low end for me. You will be able to play Shogun 2 and Saints Row 3 but probably on mid to low settings and not at 1080. See if you are able to lower settings or resolution to see if it still crashes.

Why would you not overclock??
And i'm not able to get into the game it asks me wether i want to use DX 9 or DX 11 so i choose DX11 and my comp restarts...
