System specifications would be helpful in this determination.
ok roughly:
AMD quad core 4.4 GHz processor
8GB ram
Windows 7 64 bit
A random 2GB graphics card
Hope it helps
Is it just those two games that crash or other ones as well?
And you say a 4.4 ghz AMD processor, well that is a random number, so I assume its overclocked, but since you don't know the specifics of your system, I wouldnt recommend OCing. If it is, then that might be the problem.
Do you mean the FX 4170, which is a quad at 4.2 ghz with a 4.4 Turbo?
And what CPU do you have? Is it overclocked?
These are all important things to know in order to solve your problem.
Also, I can't really attest for saints row 3, but shogun 2 is a very damanding game, more so than Dirt 3...
its simular to that but with a better graphics card
Ok that is good, and you havent OC'd it? Now if you have a Radeon, do you know the 4 digit number attached to it, like 6850 or 7770?
I would try installing all the latest drivers, especially the AMD(ati) ones, and see if that helps. Also make sure that all your clocks on CPU and GPU are at stock, and monitor temperatures to make sure something is not overheating.
I over clocked it from 4.2 to 4.4 but it worked on niether. How would i find the updates?
Second, while the 6670 is a decent card, it is mid to low end for me. You will be able to play Shogun 2 and Saints Row 3 but probably on mid to low settings and not at 1080. See if you are able to lower settings or resolution to see if it still crashes.
And i'm not able to get into the game it asks me wether i want to use DX 9 or DX 11 so i choose DX11 and my comp restarts...
