My library is a hot mess
Is there anyway to disable steam automatically putting free content in my library? Just today theres 5 additional limited / free games in my library. I would like to remove them from my library and never have it happen again. Thanks.

Kind Regards,
Dave

ps: yes it matters!

file a support ticket, you can ask them to remove any game you own (even the ones you purchased and don't want in your account)
i sent a ticket myself week ago to remove this crap: http://store.steampowered.com/app/247120/?snr=1_7_15__13
from my account and i can confirm it was actually removed.

alternatively filter your library by "installed games".
that way anything that isn't already on your harddrive will never show up.
and you can still disable that filter if you want to install a game.

I also filter my games by "favorites" because i had a lot of junk (for ex GTA collection for other OS, betas etc).

Click "Show only installed games". Problem solved.

Please don't.. this is why Steam support is slow\back logged. Let them sort out the real problems.

It's crazy, I've seen others complain about this before. Do you people stare at your games list for hours, saying "I hate this FREE game, its killing my wonderful profile :("

Are these "free" games the f2p weekend ones. If yes, they will be gone after the weekend.

Why does it matter? It bothers me. The reason is irrelivant. In any case, it's sorted.

If it bothers you that much, do what I did.
I just set my library to show only my installed games. (In the library pull-down menu)
It's not like trial games take up any space if you haven't downloaded them.
And remember if you ask Support to remove the games, you're going to be asking them everytime more games come. And sometimes they can take 1-3 days to respond.

Good luck
