What videocard are you using? PAYDAY 2 doesn't support integrated GPU -chips.

What does it read next to 'Name' under 'Screen' -tab if you type in DXDIAG to your Windows toolbar's search bar?

So it's an integrated chip. :/

You might wanna take a look at this: http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?p=34732225

Technically

1. try inserting this .dll into the PAYDAY2 files: http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/34778//? or when that one doesn't work: http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/3...&pUp=1#content

Steam\SteamApps\common\PAYDAY 2 Beta

2. If you also have a high performance GPU besides the integrated one, use the control panel for your graphics cards to make sure the high performance one is always used for PAYDAY2, instead of the integrated one.

We either need a thread stickied for this, or people need to UTFS, because fixes for this issue are all over

Welcome aboard either way!

http://pcsupport.about.com/od/fixtheproblem/ht/restoredx9dll.htm

Go by that.
If you're using a 64-bit Operating System. (You can check under My Computer -> [Right Mouse Click] -> Properties you should open the x64 -cab file, if 32-bit, then the x86.

At #12, instead copy the .dll file to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\PAYDAY 2 Beta\

(or C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\common\PAYDAY 2 Beta\ [if 32-bit] alternatively)

it seems like i ♥♥♥♥ed it up... and that file is going about an other game...
I'm aware, but as other people've stated, it works for both. It is a DirectX -file, so it's not really limited to only Fallout: New Vegas.

Because its a general hacky fix for intel graphics. which is bottom of the barrel graphics, its not dedicated and its 5x lower 3dmark 06 score than the nvidia 8800 which is the min requirement for the game. you should check those before you buy next time.

Well, yeah.. good point.
I just figured I might try to bring some light into the dark.

While not a completely reliable page, you can use http://canyourunit.com/ with some game-purchases. Also remember from now on, that you're on an integrated GPU, if a game says it doesn't support it - you'll know.

Yeah some people have moderate success. which means min res, min settings, and still getting around 10-30fps tops. depends on which generation of intel graphics he's on too. I'm on a hd 4600 with a primary nvidia 740gtm. when i set it to the 740, it runs like butter. when i use that fix on the hd 4600, it runs like rubbish even on low.
