Don't Starve - Error During Initialization

Whenever I hit play for Don't Starve the screen goes black and I get an error saying "error during initialization". What do I do?

Idk if this matters, but I am using wine to run steam and my OS is Ubuntu.

That first link tells me that it works in chrome using NaCL, what is that? and how do I play it on that?

I've got the same problem...not sure what Wine is...but i'm running steam on windows...

I found a temporary solution to this: open the chrome app for the game, sign in with a google account, go to enter key, then go to your steam copy, right click it and bring up your CD key, use this in the chrome app and you can play it in chrome, hope this helps c:

I'm having the same problem only in windows 7, does anyone know how to solve, I've tried almost everything.
