"Hours Played" Glitch?

In my library, all the games I have, when clicked on, show that I have played them like 50 hours more than I actually have played them. Anyone else experiencing this?

I am. I have over 30 hours played in some games I spent less than 10 minutes in. Came on here to report it, lol.

Same here. The hours played for all games in my library seems to be increasing all the time Steam is running and only resets to the correct amount for a game if I actually run that game.

It started happening 2 beta patches ago if I remember right.

Its a known bug it sure it will be fix soon there are many post on these all ready

Restarting the Steam client seemed to fix it for me.

Same here, it added about 15-20 more hours to all my games, but restarting Steam fixed it.

Thanks for the tips- restarting Steam does reset mine to the right values, but then they start rising again! They all seem to be steadily increasing the whole time Steam is on (which it normally is if the PC is on).

I am opted into beta though, so its obviously a bug of some kind- perhaps related to beta. No biggie really- I'll just wait for it to sort itself out!

Yeah, I just noticed that it keeps increasing. Hopefully this bug is fixed soon

yes i am experiencing similar problems. the binding of isaac on my library had 36 hours last night, and just now it was 60. however i believe this only affects the library and not your profile, so it's not causing problems, but it needs to be fixed

i have "300" hours on CSS, which i never played for more than 10 minutes

I haven't opted for any beta but still some of my games hours sometimes get ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up. Example, recently my Civ 5 playing time was 103 hrs and then I played it for some 1.5hrs and it recorded it to 105. But after sometime it came back to 103 which shouldn't actually happen.

I cant refund a game I spent 40 mins on because of this glitch. It says I've played 7 hours!
