mic not working in steam AT ALL. or in game
this has happened before while playing a game. no one could hear me so i restart pc and fixed problem. its happening now and i restart pc 3 times. note that i have shadowplay and recorded a test video and i can hear myself. also i can talk to friends on skype. its just in game and in steam voice chat the microphone isnt working.

pleaseeee help i hate skype lol

Got Nvidia GeForce Experience's Beta Build?

Try uninstalling that (and install the one introduced with the WHQL 358.50 -drivers)

well ive had geforce experience ever since i built this computer and this rarely happens.

well ive had geforce experience ever since i built this computer and this rarely happens.

ok ill try. what do u mean tho? i just got the latest update for geforce experience and i dont think you can download older versions

  1. [Control Panel > Program and Features]
  2. [NVIDIA GeForce Experience]
  3. Right Mouse Click > [Uninstall/Change]

If you want the stable GFE back, here's an option:
http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us

During its installation, choose [Custom Installation] and then tick the [Clean installation] -box.

omg dude, it worked! honestly i thought that it would never be an issue but i installed an older version of shadowplay i had in my downloads already. turned update off and restart pc. good to go! thanks man really appreciate it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
