FPS dropped to 60 fps one day and stutters around on CSGO, please help.
I have a 8GB RAM
Intel Core i7-3537U CPU @2.00GHz 2.50GHz
AMD Radeon HD 8500M/8700M

Its a laptop... I tried looking around for stuff, but I didnt find anything.
CSGO used to run around 130 fps, but now halved to 60. My CPU load is low and Memory load are low too, so I don't understand why its still limited to 60 and drops once in a while. Its not limited to 60 fps either... Please help.

System Requirements
Windows Mac OS X SteamOS + Linux
MINIMUM:
OS: Windows® 7/Vista/XP
Processor: Intel® Core™ 2 Duo E6600 or AMD Phenom™ X3 8750 processor or better
Memory: 2 GB RAM
Graphics: Video card must be 256 MB or more and should be a DirectX 9-compatible with support for Pixel Shader 3.0
DirectX: Version 9.0c
Storage: 8 GB available space

The base frequency of the E6600 is 2.4 Ghz.

So I would suggest setting Windows to run in max performance mode to make your clock stable at your CPU's highest speed....2.5 Ghz. That is barely above the minimum (2.4 compared to 2.5), so maybe that could help.

EDIT..What the good Reboot suggested will probably help with your exact issue. My post was more to maybe help you otherwise here.

Also, I would suggest searching for suggestions in the game forum for CSGO if your game will launch from Steam without issues.

No one said you need to change the clock settings, just change the power management profile in windows.
