What currancy are you going from?

You mention usd and eur exchange rates. What one are you using?

1 USD = 0.768466 EUR

1 EUR = 1.30129 USD

Steam defaulted to the closest coutry to you that has a currency that they accept. Unfortunely you do not get to choose what currency yours will be converted to, nor does Steam. That is most likely a legal decision based on local and international laws.

Steam did not decide to do this and as others have said, Publishers set prices. The reason you are charge so much is nothing more then chance due to the fluctuating exchange rate.

Diffrent company, diffrent policys, diffrent location, too many other factors to consider too.

There is a lot going on, not just what you see.

Just don't buy it.

PUBLISHERS SET PRICING

You don't get to 'choose' what region you're paying in. Because otherwise I would 'choose' Russia all the time to get the 'best' rate.

NO matter what SOMEONE SOMEWHERE is getting 'sub optimal' pricing compared to 'something else'
