TRIBES ASCEND ISN'T WORKING

my tribes ascend is being a bit iffy. it takes its time validating (which is understandable) but then it says reapiring. i havent even played this game yet so how could it be broken? it says something about an update and says restart the launcher so i do. all is good until it says that i need to restart my computer. even once i do it repeats the same issue. it has done this about five times.
