Depends on what kind of gamer you are, could mention atleast 50 but if you aren't a person who like those types of game it would be a waste of time for me to explain.

lol, a game filled with epic content and fun game play. That is a generic thing to say.

'The Cave' looks promising, just pre-ordered it myself...

tmwfte, LOL, I knew I had seen that game somewhere before... The part that got the biggest laugh from me was on the right side of the screen showing I had a friend who owns the game...

Hold out for Resident Evil 6. It's a pretty epic-scale.... console port.

The title of this thread makes me want to hurl my keyboard at my screen. What is a "real gamer" and how did they get that title?

This "real gamer" reads trade rags, gaming sites, and makes up his own damn mind about games. Your awful criteria fits any number of games. A "real gamer" would offer up something more -- like a game type, story line, gaming engine, control methods, etc. etc. etc.

A "real gamer" would know that game tastes are entirely subjective. What works for one gamer will bore the hell out of another.

Borderlands 2 is the only game, other than Skyrim, that really managed to grab me in the past few years. It isn't indie, though, so not sure if that disqualifies it. Still, one of the best games (both content and gameplay) I played in the past, ah, thirty years (started at age 10, not as an infant!.

Indie-wise, I'm impressed with the beta of Don't Starve so far and see it as one of those "100s of hours" types of games. But it isn't arcade. What you might enjoy is Evochron. Well done, arcade-y, indie, gets frequent updates.

But do consider Borderlands 2. It's excellent value even if you bought it at full price.

I'm trying out Legend Of Grimrock. From what I saw, it looks like an epic game. Solving puzzles, fighting giant spiders. What's not fun about that? Lol!

I'm surprised that you're the only one (besides me) in this thread who found the title questionable.

I am confused by what constitutes a "real gamer". Everyone I've known to use that term to describe themself has been an obnoxious ♥♥♥♥. Not really sure taking advice from such people is a good idea...

Anyways, OP you seem jaded. If you have truly run out of things to do (gaming-wise), then you should probably stop gaming for a while. You don't necessarily have to go outside or deal with any of that ♥♥♥♥, but do something, anything, other gaming. Then go back to it with a new perspective because, to me, your post makes you sound as if you are burnt out.
