I'm not sure what you think you're getting at. If you mean, more games are released that are for purchase than are free to play, that makes sense. Most games released don't follow a free to play monetization scheme so wouldn't earn any money if they were released free to play, hence more developers leaning toward the paid model.

If that's not what you mean, perhaps would could explain further.

Define realeased faster. Do you mean there released more often? or released quicker after they are announced.

After they are announced, paid for games get realeased much faster than f2p games

Examples? I think largely if you perceive this is because there are far more paid games than there are free to play games.

They aren't done. Cry of Fear is being adapted to an altered version of the Source Engine to stand alone: http://steamcommunity.com/workshop/filedetails/discussion/93041394/864950398868033083/#c828925849290105587

As is No More Room in Hell: http://www.nomoreroominhell.com/

The mods are done, and you're free to download and play them, the standalone versions for Steam are not.

I've seen gameplay footage for Tomb Raider and The Cave, and neither are out yet.

I think it's aliens, personally. That or some government conspiracy.

I'm going with both. They're keeping us from Prey 2. ;)

Its not that there are more pay 2 plays than freetoplays its just not all freetoplays are listed on steam and truthfully that is because of several resons.

1) Players have not requested them.
2) I'm pretty sure steam has to have the company's permission
3) The whole process is diorganised anyways.

If I had to pay for the bandwidth and if I ran a for-profit business that makes money by selling games, I would also prioritize non-free games.

Paid games from Developers have a lot of people working on them, so they are done faster.

Most F2P games are also indi game and have a handfull of people working on them.
