Please help - Call of Duty / Battlefield noobie spoilt for choice
Hi all

I'm looking for some advice regarding Battlefield and Call of Duty series and hope some of you can help.

Basically, I have been playing the original Medal of Honor for 10 years (and a bit of COD2), and now I have bought a new well specced PC (i5 3570, Radeon 7950) I

want to get into more modern FPS games such as BF and COD. I don't want to start another BF vs COD discussion as I'll probably be trying and buying many versions of

both anyway. I play single player campaigns but also would like to play online and like both WW2, Vietnam and modern eras.

The trouble is, there are so many of these games and add on packs I don't know where to start!

I don't necessarily want to go and just buy the best / latest first as then I will probably never go and buy the older ones, I would rather work my way up as far as

graphics and specs are concerned.
But I don't want to start too far back either.

I have typed up a list of a possibles to work through, but I would really appreciate some knowlegdeable input from you guys.

Are there any here that are just not worth bothering with if I intend to get the latest ones at some point anyway?
Are there any that are so old now there are no online players left?
Is the order about right?

COD 3

COD WORLD AT WAR (2008)

COD 4 MW (2007)
COD MODERN WARFARE 2 (2009)

BF2
BF BAD COMPANY 2 (2010)
BF BAD COMPANY 2 VIETNAM (2010)

COD BLACK OPS (2010)

BF3
BF3 add ons - back to karkland, close quarters, armoured kill, aftermath, end game (13)

COD MODERN WARFARE 3 (2011)
COD BLACK OPS 2 (2012)

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers
Rick

CoD series for close combat, BF series for a much larger experience. The choice is yours!

cod world at world is a very kool game...i liked it alot.......battlefield is a totally different game unless all you play is multiplayer aspects of a game.also theres bad company and weirder games like wolfenstien 2009 version which was a kool shooter.

Battlefield actually has a much more fun close quarters experience in my opinion. A lot more teamwork if you want it, but you can lone wolf if that's your style. CoD really only allows for lone wolf.

start with cod4
also, cod 3 was only for consoles.
i believe battlefield 1942 is free if you have an origin account.
