[Miner Wars] Criminal Level of censorship
http://steamcommunity.com/app/223430/discussions

Apparently they have closed down the "official" gamehub discussion. Buying customers can no longer discuss about this game in the correct places. I highly recommend valve revoke all developer rights from closing forums.

:| this was suppose to go in suggestion subforum, misclicked

I will keep this thread alive until the miner war devs reopen the gamehub discussion area.

Before they shut down the whole forum they were very busy deleting threads. This is definitely not the proper way to communicate with customers!

Is that supposed to be the link to the closed discussion? Seems open to me.

Ah, I see no new posts allowed.

That is... Kinda pathetic if you ask me. Just own up to whatever it is you are trying to hide. Censorship will only anger the public and lose customers.

what the hell is going on over there. Never seen a game hub not allow people to post. Even if there is a lot of hate and crap going around.

And they banned people from the discussions that mentioned a discount for their game.

On a sidenote: The pricing policy alone is a kick in the balls for everyone who already purchased the game. Only one week after release it's already discounted 80% and available for 3,86€ at Green Man Gaming.

Amateur indie devs tend to not know a lick of PR. Sad really.

It is their game and their sub forum, so there is nothing "criminal" about it. It's short-sighted and makes matters worse from a PR perspective, but all you can do is to make a mental note and move on. It's just another lesson in why it's better to not buy newly released games. I've gotten burnt with every indie release lately that I bought on the first day (Towns taking the cake).

The developers of Primordia do the same. There was a "is it worth it?" thread on the release day, and there were critical (not even flame-y) posts in there, pointing out problems with the game, and it simply vanished.

I exaggerate for effect.

Sad but true. It's not the first time i see this kind of stuff being pulled.
(Wasn't Cortex Command Hub happening something similar days after the Steam Release?)

That's weird. Wadjet Eye is usually pretty good at communicating with people and accepting constructive criticism.
