cheaters on QL
steam is spitting in quake live player's face. they do nothing to stop cheaters. there is no QL admin. this is a disgrace. players can use aimbot, wallhack, every lame cheat in the book, and steam doesnt care, even though we payed them money.

Why would a program care about quake live and cheaters?

Valve on the other hand... also doesn't care because that's id's job. Possibly Bethesda's as well.

How is this steams fault?

we payed steam. they are getting the money. they are the ones who should take care of this, but they dont. they want to get the money and do nothing for it.

Steam is a platform for developers to sell games. Steam holds 0 responsibility when to comes to ingame issues.

You need to post on the game forums so their support can deal with this.

The only thing steam is responsible for is if you got the game you purchased and the vac system on vac protected servers and everything else is for the game devs to deal with as it's not steams responsibility.

off course they do, if i payed STEAM the money. they should have taken care of it. they're just thieves who want to get the money without earning it.

there is no QL support. there is no QL admin. they sent you to Bethesda, and there's no one there.

Valve is not reponsible for preventing cheaters unless the games uses VAC...

Then this is a issue you need to bring up with them as it's on them and not steam.

Steam sells EA games. Steam even sells Battlefield games on Steam. According to OP, that makes cheaters in EA games Valve's fault/responsibility.
Black Blade Jan 16, 2017 @ 5:52pm
Just to make it clear OP as you seem to not be aware of it
Valve (or if you prefer Steam) is not who you are paying, you are paying the Dev of the game, when Steam takes care of the payment (and takes a cut for that and other servers they offer the Dev) same as if you payed using Paypal, you do not pay paypal but you are paying who ever your paying, Paypal just takes a cut for transferring the cash

So if you want support abut it, after the cash passed and the problem is then by the Game Dev area, you need to turn to the Game Dev abut the issue

Sounds reasonable. In this case:
I recommend to buy games in your local shop around the corner.
Then you can ask for the manager of that shop, so he can take care of the cheaters in your game that you bought there.

Take it up with the Developers of Quake Live. Valve gives developers the ability to use VAC for their games if they put it on Steam and uses SteamWorks.
