Game is fun... boring after the first 6 hours.. and there is no one to play with and the community is not welcoming to new players. The only way to get new gear is doing story mode since the monsters dont actually drop loot in terms of gear or weapons.. The only thing they drop if anything is sometimes an item used in crafting.. Legit never drop gear .. not like the chance is really low i mean they never drop gear thats the way the game is.. Dungeon crawler with no loot drops ever..
Just started playing im rank 5-1 Ive been playing only on elite.. seems like there is no one to play with. I was given no pointers from chat/forums and I kinda need someone to play with its boring alone and its getting very hard with the crap gear I have. So if you have hand me down gear and feel like passing it let me know... thanks for reading..
This game is fine early, but gets more grind-intensive later on. While the early stages give you everything you need (and more), the later stages require you grind levels until you have certain items to make certain tier weapons, and that happens quite a lot. This makes the game quite time-consuming, and if you need help with anything, nobody usually helps. I wouldn't recommend this game because it takes up way too much of your time.
To get the Spiral Knight's hat (Spiral Salet) you need to:
1. Download Spiral Knights (it's free) 2. Play through the tutorial until you unlock the Arcade 3. Complete a level in the Arcade 4. After completing a level in the Arcade, you should get an achievement 5. Open Team Fortress 2 6. You got the hat. (look at your new items at the top right of your screen)
Simple mmo that plays like a 2d Legend of Zelda game, but playstyle customization is very inflexible and progress comes to a screeching halt unless you are willing to spend real life money on the game. It's somewhere between Pay2Win and Pay2Play.
You progress through the game by upgrading your equipment, which is extremely slow and tedious and if you want to try a new kind of playstyle, a new set of armor, a new weapon, you have start back at square one and go through the entire process to bring it up to your level. And it's also completely mandatory, because the game is locked until you complete an entire set of up-to-date gear. But you can just buy upgraded equipement and everything needed to upgrade equipment for real life money.
The in-game currency can be traded with the cash currency, which means if you are willing and able to spend real life money on this game, you have total freedom with how you play and you are only limited by your personal skill.
Also the plot is uninteresting, the game is repetitive, and there are slight lag problems.
