Windows 8 compatibility

Has anyone managed to get this to run in Windows 8? I have uninstalled and re-installed. I have ran the application in different OS compatibility modes, but all I get is a window which appears very briefly (less than half a second), then disappears.

The game plays just fine for me in Windows 8, so it's not a compatibility mode issue. Something else must be causing your problem.

I have the same problem but I'm running on Windows XP. Anyone know what's going on?

Well this seems to be happening to XP users and, if you look at the "Opening Failure" thread, Windows 7 users as well. So it isn't a Windows 8 problem.

Can a mod merge the threads?
