Is this a good game?
Is it still an alive game? is the local co-op/split screen good? and is it an rpg that will play for hours and not get boring?

It's hit or miss: you'll either enjoy it, or hate it. It can be cleared from start to finish in one sitting.

Oh my gods no, this game sucks all day long. This game was not worth the $15 price tag when it first came out, and it isn't worth the $5 price tag that I saw recently. There is nothing redeeming about this game. It was riddled with bugs (don't know/care if they fixed them as it wouldn't make the game better), it was short, and it has zero adaptability. Your wizard that you made when you first played the game will be the exact same wizard (power and feat wise) as the wizard that you play when you pick this game up again.

DO NOT PURCHASE THIS GAME!!!! It is a waste of money, EVEN IF IT IS FREE!!!

It is essentially a somewhat weak Diablo in 3rd person. No real role playing elements, just hack and slash and loot whoring. Story has no meaning or impact, you just run around and kill stuff. That's all.

It sounds like they should be charging extra for this game.

Only if it was hotter. This game is more like Mrs. Man the gym teacher.

When I first bought this game, it was in the bargain bin at Walmart. I had wondered how a game in a genre I love, with a setting I love, had somehow made it under the radar for so long, that it wound up in the bargain bin before I saw it. So I bought it.

Turns out, it was released 2 days before I bought it.

I could go on and on about the massive graphics glitches, voice acting worse than a 1985 arcade machine, and gameplay that would make the original Nintendo Entertainment System weep, but why bother? One sentence overwhelms anything I could possibly say:

This game was not up to Walmarts high standards.

Ya its so sad as a hardcore collector i would still want this but wow its the most hated D&D title out there, pools of radiance wasnt that grat for PC ether the newer one not the badass SSI one

Pool of Radiance was pretty bad. The guys who made it didn't even understand the ruleset they were trying to code, resulting in a nonmagical 2-handed mallet you find at the beginning of the game being the most powerful weapon there is. But the turn-based mechanics were so awful, and the AI turns took so incredibly long, that I found the only way to endure it was to have my sorcerer nuke the entire enemy group in one shot, and rest after every fight. That game left an awful taste in my mouth.

And I would play it again before considering picking this game up again for another try.
