1) STO has gotten better since it went F2P last year. They just launched Season 7 with better access to end game Borg based gear and the addition of more Romulan based content.

2) The Steamrunner ships are actually pretty decent and the Vice Admiral version is as good as (and maybe better than) any other escort class ship of that level. At the sale price it's worth it IMO.

1) was crappy, got better, it's getting annoying (seems now every change of season you have to buy a reskill, especially if you're sci)
2) the starter pack end game ship is soo overpowered it's gamebreaking...

I'll give it a go whit start pack then

Stay away from this game. The newly introduced Season 7 update is nothing but a rip off and turns the game into a heavy, boring grind.

I brought it how do i sync my steam account with my Star Trek account?
Mattaui 2012年11月13日 20時25分
You don't need to sync anything, you just take the key you bought and put it in your STO account on the PWE site.

Where do i find this key cause i tried that from "view cd key" and it wont except it on the startrekonline site

Yes the game is good. Don't listen to the people who haven't played it.

1) This a very action oriented game with good storyline based progression (IMO the progression is a bit fast for the first half of the game, but it leaves plenty for later on when it slows down). It can be repetetive but is fun in bursts and most missions take very little time so you can jump in and out and still feel like you are achieving something. The economy is good but you do not need to participate as you can choose your game difficulty which means you never need to worry about gear. You get access to a ship every 10 levels until level 40 (0, 10, 20, 30 and 40) with level 40 offering a choice between two varients of each path. Level 50 ships are available for real money or to those in a fleet with a starbase and shipyard. Paid for items can be OP but as this is primarily PvE it really doesn't matter. You are restricted in F2P but if you enjoy it you should sub for a month as most of the benefits of subbing stay even after your period ends.

2) The starter pack has two fantastic ships (for level 0 and level 50) as well as some basic gear to kickstart you ingame. It should allow you to start playing on higher difficulty to rake in some sellable loot or to breeze through the opening storyline on normal.

1. It's not bad, I guess.

2. I wouldn't know, I don't have and probably never will have the starter pack.

It's not bad, good for a F2P and i think the starter pack is a good way to help you get into it. I've been playing it this afternoon and have been quite enjoying it.

1. It's okay, if you're a big Trek fan. Otherwise it is rapidly becoming a boring grindfest with unresponsive developers. The evolution to a pay-to-win / gambling business model means you should expect to pay a few hundred dollars if you want the best gear, so:

2. Buying a starter pack for a free game might just be your way to go, if you're planning on spending those hundreds. If it included a month's subscription it might be worthwhile, but as it doesn't you'll have to decide if a single alternate ship, slightly more powerful than the ones you get for free, is worth $10. The other gear is garbage after about 20 minutes of play, so shouldn't weigh too much in the decision. For my money looking on EBay or Amazon for one of the collector's edition boxes from the game's original release almost 3 years ago is a better cost/value proposition.

Unresponsive developers? 90% of the changes in this game since launch has been due to player feedback. Please don't spread lies.

Well the things that make money for the company at least.
I doubt many wanted so many dilithium nerfs and so many dilithium sinks.

Its a horrible game. I bought a lifetime pass and when the companies switched and went F2P all my extras (borg characters, costumes, and weapons) were all taken away. Its because of this game I will never EVER buy anything requiring a monthly membership ever again.

The company treats their consumers like ♥♥♥♥.
