Should i restart my Starfleet character?
So i currently have a "Mirror Advanced Escort" Starship, borg deflector, MACO Shield, Mark X-XI Antiproton Dual Phasers and Cannons, and i dont remember what torpedoes, but annyways i got one of the best ship setup there is and ofcourse im the highest rank, as you see i went with the Cannon setup with Escort. The Bad side whit it is the Weak point is the Rear and with Cruisers its 50/50 on both Rear and front, and i've been thinking on restarting from scratch and going with cruisers, should i? Cause i got a wery good and tying to geet the Fleet "Defiant" ship. I'm having a hard time deciding if i should go thru with restarting cause, whit this new MACO store thing, in my oppinion its harder to get the borg stuff. Now should i go for Account Shared bank and then restart, or just restart or just restart?

Why would you want to restart if you're wanting to try out cruisers? Why not pick up a cruiser? I have a maximum level Fed engineer that flies both an Armitage escort and an Ops Odyssey cruiser.

If you're not happy with the character you built and respeccing is not an option, then yeah I could see recreating the character. Otherwise, I'd just plop down the Dilithium (Or Zen) to pick up a cruiser.

That seems like a silly reason to reroll, in my personal opinion.

Your chosen career does not in any way limit the kind of ships you can fly. The only things you're 'stuck' with are your captain specific abilities. Some of them can work quite well on 'non-career' ships(A tactical captain will do more damage in a cruiser than an engineer will). There is nothing stopping you from picking up a mirror cruiser off of the exchange for a couple-thousand EC and trying it out to see whether you enjoy that playstyle or not.

Also, Cruisers are not magically awesome in every direction. They can be very forward-heavy, very (broad)side-heavy, or omni-directional. With the Federation especially, you're not going to hit as hard as you can with an escort, and you're not going to be anywhere near as nimble.

Just buy yourself a mirror cruiser off the exchange if thats the ship you want to fly, not much point restarting just experiment with the character you have now and try different builds, thats half the fun in this game.

i tried a science officer and really enjoyed it as a klingon, zero people play one there

it reminded me of the medical roll of WoW.

Switched over to Engineer and hated it.

went back to playing starfleet
