Romulan or Federation ?
I want to know what ships are better ? I have one fed char on 50 but there ships are soooo small and romulan ships are soo big. Klingon is for pvp but for what is the romulan class ? the same as federation ?

I read that romulan can fly rom/fed or rom/klin ships and have this big dreads, its not fair that feds have only this litle cute ships. But i dont like the romulans itself hopefully we get better and bigger ships on fed side.

Btw in my opinion the dreads are overpowered against fed ships, compare the scimitar dread against ever other ship in that class.
5 tactical consoles
hanger
cloaking
3000 crew
5 front weapons

It's not the size of the ship, it's what you do with it ;)

If you want the best of both worlds go with Romulan, as you're right - they can ally with either Federation or Klingon and use a few of their ships.

yeah right its not the size but come on ^^ they 3 to 4 times bigger i feel a little bit useless against such ships

Stay away from PvP then - some of the most powerful builds are for the Tactical ships, and they're much smaller even than the Federation cruisers :/

Personally I think the Federation ships look much better anyway, no matter what size they are.

I'm sorry, I can't hear you over how kick-♥♥♥ my Odyssey-class is, one of the largest ships in the game.

That said, increased size means decreased turn rate and a bigger target. So, much like certain other things, bigger is really just for show, while smaller is, despite popular belief, much more effective.

The stats are nice and all but when you start comparing to other ships, it all kind of balances out. Really the only major strength is the Singularity Core. Now, put all three of its consoles onto one ship? Then you've got overpowered, and even that's balanced out by the $50 minimum price tag.

Certainly, the Scimitar is the most offensively minded ship with the biggest decloaking alpha-strike potential(de-throning the disruptor tactical bortas). However, it is cumbersome and fully making use of that much offensive weaponry means that your other systems are going to suffer(which is already harder due to the singularity core's lower output).

As for which faction, that's entirely up to you.

Romulan Warbirds are certainly powerful given their battlecloaks and ability to mount dual cannons on everything. Their only carrier option is the Scimitar and when out of cloak their ships are a generally clumsy and poorer at sustained engagements than their federation(and klingon) counterparts.

Meanwhile, the Federation Escorts are top-notch and their Science Ships are better than anyone elses. Sadly, their cruisers are - ironically - a bit inferior to their counterparts due to their minimal tactical slots and inability to mount dual cannons. They're excellent in a support role, but they're not really unique in that capacity.

On a side note, Klingons aren't really "PvP" anymore. They may have started that way(and have plenty of options), but they've got plenty of PvE options now.. most of which are far more rewarding than anything the other sides can offer. (They still have a bunch of daily missions that reward 1440 dilithium each.)
