STO need more science
Combat is fun, but they didn't exatly shoot everything all the time in star trek. Maybe more just pure science related missions?

The game needs more Q involvement as that one borg mission was kinda dull

There's a few of those already; the one where you team up with McCoy is more about building a device to stop the Devidians, solving puzzles and talking your way through situations. One of the Breen missions involves trying to help several people suffering from mind-altering implants. But considering part of the backdrop of the game being the galaxy at war, I don't know that you really could do pure-science missions. Especially since not everyone rolled Science...

I undestand what he means, but your right, there are already some and they are really good missions. Maybe a PvP mode to do with puzzels might entertain Star Trek fans who like more than combat.
TBH, STO could have be far, far worse, but it's a great game that sticks true to (thankfully) the pre-Abrams Rodenbury canon. It trutly feels like a Star Trek game, and not some leech sucking from the leience as I'm sure everyone of had feared before jumping in.

Competitive puzzle-solving? Okay now there's an interesting idea.

I didn't really fear that. I just thought "Star Trek MMO? For free? Why not?" And I like that they at least reference the things that lead up to the creation of the Alternate Timeline, like the Hobus supernova or the Romulan experiments that lead to the Narada. I recall hearing about one NPC (though if I actually saw the conversation, I must have forgotten it) who remembers things that can't be canon, like EU works or the events of the 2009 movie.

Especially since not everyone rolled Science...

I thought of a better way to word that: Damn it, Jim, I'm a tactical officer, not a doctor!

In PvE the need of a science is marginal. But for PvP the SubNuke is essential.

He's talking about puzzle-solving missions, not missions that specifically require the Science class. When I brought it up, it was more along the lines of a storyline thing, like how my Tactical captain would know so much about quantum mechanics. Kind of the same way that, in the McCoy mission I mentioned earlier, no one seems surprised by the group of heavily-armed Romulans or Klingons walking about the station.

People spend more time blowing stuff up than doing any other content; more stuff is added to make blowing up stuff more fun; people blow more stuff up.

I have to agree it would be nice to have more non-combat missions for the people that like a more rounded deep game, but most people tend to just want to blow things up.
I love the State of Q mission, but I agree with you it would be nice to see a little bit more of Q in the game.. other than when he appears for the Winter Events etc.
