The New Enterprise from Star trek into Darkness
I think cryptic should add the new U.S.S Enterprise from the new star trek movies.
What ships do you want to be featured?

They can't add the JJ Prise, copyright issues are tooo tight for now.

New Star Trek movie(s) are from alternative reality... STO is in the original (main, primary) reality

No. Even as someone that enjoys JJ trek I think adding ships from that universe would far too divisive. Thankfully licencing issues mean that this will likely never happen.

JJ Trek is off limits due to exclusive licensing with Paramount and JJ.

I think they would have to wait like 10 years for copyright to be allowed. I am not sure.

Maybe as a gift to or for devs only and make it rare so its lucky if you see one.

As out of place as it would be, I'd really like to see the Constellation Class (I.E. U.S.S. Stargazer)... I mean, they added Excelsior.

I agree with you all. I also find it duisturbing that we live in a world where an element inspired by an imaginary universe depicted in the game isn't allowed into the game universe that continues the original inspiration. maybe that's not worded well, but if you get it grats!
As a solution, I propose we resurrect Gene Roddenberry and have him collaborate with JJ. Since the raising of the dead is more likely than these greedy freaks agreeing to let something exist without having to create profit... Does this sound bitter? I'm just trying to provoke thoughtful discourse. Make ya think!

No Badger, I think your comment was very fitting. And true.

I thought STO was set in the JJ Abrams movie but, just in the future.

Everything is more awsomer in the JJ universe. Look up a size comparison chart. The JJ enterprise is magnatudes larger than the prime Enterprise.

I think the important thing to remember is that the JJ trek universe is an alternate time-line. In classic Trek, Kirk grew up with his father and he was his inspiration for Starfleet. JJ split the timelines at that point in order to create his own universe. As I understand it.
As long as it's clear that it's creative license and JJ isn't going to try to usurp Gene's vision, then that's great. Let's just not let one of the most unified fanbases get all ♥♥♥♥y over Gene vs. JJ. Let his universe be what it is and let Trek live on in the online universe. Whoa... Maybe I'm thinking too hard. I dunno...

And just so I don't get off the original topic. I think it might be cool to add some Star Wars style ships! =D Just familiar enough to be recognizable, but obviously not an infringement! Take that, Disney! Ha!

No, in STO Vulcan exists and Romulus has been destroyed as mentioned in the movie. But in the JJ Trek universe the opposite is true because Nero destroys Vulcan.

As much as I like the Abramsprise, I don't think it should be in STO because it doesn't exist in that universe. Mirror Universe vessels exist because of direct crossover, but the new Star Trek is an alternate timeline as has already been said.
