Unlocking Duty Officers

I still want to get to a higher level that I can just send away teams called Duty Officer. Last I checked it was level 7. I just installed STO on my new super desktop & looking forward to playing.

Is gamepad controllers supported yet?

What's a clever way to level when your low level? I remember struggling equally on land as well as space.

As far as I know. You can try leveling by doing patrol missions and story missions. Then start doff missions when you get them. The game already supports gamepads. Just plug in a 360 controller and your set as far as I know. I don't use one to play so I can't tell you anything more beyond that.

As for space combat, it depends on your boff layout and your weapon set up.

For ground, make sure to equip hypos and try not to charge into all your foes. Some bridge officers with threat generation traits are nice too.

Yeah thanks, it worked with the controller, although I was still using a mouse as well (I do the same for PS2). I'm a lvl 5 (up from 4) now after a bit of space combat.

I filled my inventory and I've been struggling trying to find Sol, made it to the Starfleet Academy, I could sell things there if I knew what I was doing. Imagine I'll have to do some research on wikis & Youtube (maybe even here idunno) to get back in the swing of things.

Sure looks prettier than when I played it last (able to turn it all up to pretty & hi-res). Got disconnected a few times though, I don't remember that happening before.

I got invited to a team while I was just battling somewhere for hours, that was neat. Later I was invited to a clan or something, it had its own overwhelming info menus. Dang space was sure populated though, pretty cool.
