Problem Downloading

I'm trying to download Star Trek Online, it's currently downloading on Steam. I was told I need to sign up on the Star Trek Website to finish downloading on Steam. So now that I've signed up on the website it's trying to download from the website. What download should I allow to continue? Should I cancel the one from the website and let the steam one go? Do I do both? I need some help. I have never had this problem before!

Yeah, I believe its asking you to make an account so that you can connect steam to it. This would allow you to buy stuff from the cash shop with you steam wallet. I say continue your steam download.

So should I cancel the download that began from their website? It never asked me my Steam info to connect the two? :/

I seem to have the same issue... i downloaded the content on Steam, then it took me to the website to sign up there, then it began to game patch... its taking forever and it hasnt taken me any closer to start the game. Bloody frustrating, its like i've hit a brick wall.

Give up and find another game. Ive been trying for weeks to get the game to patch. At a rough guess its wasted 40 - 60 gigabytes off my internet downloading patches that never finish. Said the patch was 109mb and it got to 16gigs and still no luck. After hours of reading through cryptic forums its quite obvious that its a big problem that they have no interest in addressing.
