messed up bridge officer station HELP!!!!

i recently got my fleet tactical escort retrofit, it has 3 tactical seats. i have 2 of them in my Lt. Commander, and commander (they work fine,) but the ensign seat just wont work. i have a ferengi tactical candidate and i want to commission him but when i go to do that, it says that there is no room on my shuttle and it wants me to train up. help

Do you have empty bridge officer slots still available?

Sounds like you need more BO slots. Also try to pick bridge officers with space traits :)

Since i have also been having this dilemma.. i had a tier 2 science ship, and then when i reached tier 3, i chose a Heavy Crusier. I understand that my second science officer is now useless, and i have an extra engineer officer candidate, but is there a way in which i can preserve my science officer, but still enlist the engineer officer?

BO slots? And i thought all bridge officers had space traits

You get a limited number of bridge officer slots, though it goes up at some point...

Traits are different from activated abilities.

your ensign tactical station being available is 1 thing. maxxed BO slots is something completely different. on my ship i have more BO slots than i do for for my ships stations. it might be that you've run out of BO slots, and you will likely have to remove one from commission in order to commission another.
*if this is not the case, and you are quite familiar with how to do these things, then make sure you put a ticket in for support. people here cant help you with a bug/glitch, except to direct you to put in a support ticket.
