Alienware glitch
Whenever I load the client and play, the lights on my alienware laptop blink and glitch, as does the faces of the characters speaking in the game. :/

Anyone else encounter this??

sounds like a hardware issue, although alienware does have certain integration with some games making the lights blink when certain things happen.
I've only ever run unto 1 game that does that though.
So i cant be certain its the same here.

I cant remember how to turn it off should that be the case, i think it was right clicking the alienware icon in your system tray and switching off third party access. (if memory serves)

The blinking lights on Alienware computers is due to a half-implemented feature. There are several ways to alleviate this if it irritates you.

There's some partial support for the Alienware color control in the game. If you want to disable this, you can remove the LightFX.dll file from the game directory. The Alienware settings probably have an option to disable this also.

You can also do this:

Add this to the command line options in the launcher to disable it (without the quotes):

"-gfxAlienwareEnable 0"

Finally you can disable third party software from altering your hardware lightning. In your task bar look for the Alien FX, right click it, Uncheck 'Enable 3rd party AlienFX access' This will prevent STO and other games from effecting your hardware lighting
