To much war or to little exploring?

I want y'alls opinions on this Star trek the tv show is explorers, not a military operation.... like in into darkness when scotty says are we military now? I feel like theres to little exploration... they need a system like uncharted waters online

It's just the nature of the beast, I'm afraid. People play and pay for combat, so that is where development gets channeled.

There is the foundry, exploration clusters, and the federation is able to 'explore' almost every planet/system on the map(some of them are amusing, some dull), but few people play that content compared to the combat.

You have to remember the current timeline in the setting, too. There is quite a lot of galactic upheaval, so there is going to be much more conflict as a byproduct.

The devs are 'maybe' thinking of enhancing the exploration part of the game. Oh, wait. it was my wishful thinking, or is it. -Either way, my opinion is that th exploring should be enhanced. That what is called exploring in this game is quite dull after doing it for a while. -> Run from A to E, click F for operating the consoles/scanning stones or plants or something at A, B, C, D and E. Beam out, rinse and repeat. I am going for the Explorer title of each 'explorable sector'. 3x70 missions in each of the 17, or was it 19, sectors. That... ...is... ...boring in the long run. Bring a tube of patiencelotion to do it, aye, check.

Well it is being said that the Federation Klingon war will come to an end at some point. About time, as it was silly to begin with.

Well what about Lord of The rings Online?
your rewarded when you explore without a quest. Also I think if you explore certain places and find certain things you should get xp as well.

When I think about the television serieses, in general. it seems like there was more fistfighting and firefighting in the original series, with slightly less as the timeline moved forward. take this in reverse and i would expect the early years to be more violent.

Yes.... but its season eight.... I think they should do a Champions of regnum style of wars. Sometime one side is allied with this side sometimes vice versa, or just a ffa for more supplies etc. diplomatics should be used in the game as well.

Definitely to-heavy on the action side. An enjoyable game if you have the patience for it.

But I personally grew up with Star Trek: 25th Anniversary, Judgement Rites, A Final Unity, Starfleet Academy, Starfleet Command and New World. I could barely tolerate the intense action of the last two at times.

So I struggle to enjoy this game. I generally try to complete one mission per week.
