too many buttons to buff!
is there a way to 1 click and activate a whole row of buffs instead of using my mmo keyboard and mmo mouse and push every single one of them?

i just end up using mouse to click 'ramming speed' or some such rare buttons in emergency situations rather than hunting for which key it is, and it defeats the whole purpose of a mmo mouse.

i would rather have a "spike" key, and 4 or 5 buffs activate from that keypress,
a 'red alert' with polarize hull, evasive manuvers, etc,
a 'repair' key, with all that stuff,
and a 'all power to the engines/deaththroes' key for all the low power/low hull buffs

You can just click them or do some weird stuff to your awkward MMO Mouse to behave different.
is there no way to activate a row of buffs in the window?

You can mash all the buttons at once.
The best way is to bind the keys, here is a good guide:

thank you, i think i understand:
The keyset is assigned to the numerical keypad's 0 key. If we create a mirror set of this key we can ensure that the priority will always be given to the abilities in the lower slots.

numpad0 "+STOTrayExecByTray 9 0$$+STOTrayExecByTray 9 1$$+STOTrayExecByTray 9 2$$+STOTrayExecByTray 9 3$$+STOTrayExecByTray 9 4$$+STOTrayExecByTray 9 5$$+STOTrayExecByTray 9 6$$+STOTrayExecByTray 9 7$$+STOTrayExecByTray 9 8$$+STOTrayExecByTray 9 9$$+STOTrayExecByTray 9 8$$+STOTrayExecByTray 9 7$$+STOTrayExecByTray 9 6$$+STOTrayExecByTray 9 5$$+STOTrayExecByTray 9 4$$+STOTrayExecByTray 9 3$$+STOTrayExecByTray 9 2$$+STOTrayExecByTray 9 1$$+STOTrayExecByTray 9 0"

now, just to make it work.
also, eat it sinnaj
Another possibility is to bind everything to your space-key. all buffs that are not available or busy are overgone and the next binded key will be activated, one after the other.
I have my buttons bound like this, but you have to remember you still have to press the key you bound 10 times to set off all the buttons in a row. If you want to automate that, you need keyboard or mouse macro software that you can set so that one press of button/key X sets off 9 more presses of that button/key.
Good to know! Thank you for this information. I thought the buffs bound to one key are activated all in a row... I don't use key-bindings, only read about them in the Wiki. For me it's more realistic and more exciting if i must press them all manual and separate.
im currently trying to find a balance, as my bind is interrrupted if one buff is in cooldown.
Yeah. Key binding is the answer!
ugh. i have to do this again. why isnt the UI more intuitive?! i hate having to do all of this: http://sto.gamepedia.com/Guide:_Keybinds#Using_Multiple_Powers
http://postimg.org/image/gjwz5tnwz/full/

is this asking too much? using abilities like god intended in a freaking MMO without writing macros by hand? what the hell?!

why cant i drag an ability to a tray, and each row is bound to a button in options, and it cycles through its own row, (i know a whole tray cant be clicked because they dont want a win button)

but cmon. the current system is terrible

♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ pathetic that a website has an application to make this ♥♥♥♥♥♥ UI tolerable.
fix your garbage STO

Back in the days there was a "trick" using keybinds. But since a couple of years ago, people stop using it because the game started to be so messed up that most of the times it will never work.

And because of the shared cooldowns, lag, ui problems and a huge etc, this will never work nowadays. I mean, if you think on it, its impossible for a game so messed up in the code that something like this will work without problems. It did 3 years ago, now it doesnt.

i guess thats why theres the forward-back macros to get past the ones cooling down.
