Did you already try to check to local files (through steam/game properties)?

Been 2 months.... you don't think I've done this? lol ... I'm really tired. I tryied everything they're saying on forums , re-installed flash players , I downgranded my IE to 8 ... re-installed video card ... anything. Funny is that ... it works on my husband's laptop. Anyway I gave up ... I'm gonna sub to SWToR.

Sorry for that! With the launcher i had never probs. But found another thread user having probs with various hard-/software combinations:

Perhaps there is a solution for youre problem... good luck!

looks more software related.
Perhaps its something like microsoft visual c++ packages you're missing or not installed right.
My feeling says it could be a microsoft .NET framework you're missing or not installed correctly.

but yeh without sitting there looking into the problem, its always guesswork.

I read another possible source of failure: the launcher seems to use internet explorer and scripts, there were some other with problems. like here:
http://sto-forum.perfectworld.com/showthread.php?t=249876

.net framework is os-integrated since windows 7, i think. but possible that a update gone bad or is missing.

MS C++ retribution packages are automatically installed when installing a game... is youre Internet Explorer working normally?

Okay so im going assume the problem is it remains stuck on "loading please wait", do the bars move or does the window freeze up?

Because whats supposed to appear is, ofcourse, your login window.
It might have issues retrieving info from your computer.
Like your email adress that usually gets auto filled in.

That part has to be stored somewhere, like as an example in the c://users/username/appdata or however might be called exactly in english, or perhaps a few maps deeper more secured.

Its possible it got corrupted.

Last ditch attempt you could try - uninstall and use the arc client. (im assuming they dont look the same as im using the steam client aswell)

just be damn sure they got your account info right on the arc client.
ive read a few stories with people losing everything when they tried to link their old pwe account to arc.
Not 100% sure if linking is at all needed though, as i checked arc site myself to view my account, but i dont see my sto game listed on it.. so now i dont know what to think of it. (i can see my zen purchases just fine though.. weird)

Well.... I tryied both Steam 'n Arc same story. I can't even log-in. This happens exactly after sto.exe is launched. Also there is not STO files on %appdata%

Hm... Me too, i use firefox for all, it's better and faster. but i look to keep ie updated, because there are some features linked to it, like communication with my handy and some network streaming features need the mediaplayer and this needs ie... some strange dependencies, i know :)

Try to make ie up to date... perhaps it works. because if you use arc, after installed the game through steam, arc client start the launcher from youre steam installation subfolder. this means both startoptions (steam and arc-client) use the same app and have also the same problem.
