they just broke the game

just updated my game and force closes on me and i just want to play the game but they broke it any help?

i have not played in a few days but now i am not able to play the gane either it starts up fine but when i go to engage a window pops up saying the last time i played the game crashed and get that opps cryptic error window. ive tryed cancling it and also submiting the report . but when it disapears i again try and start the game only to get that damn opps error window again they better not of done something to force us to use that damn arc program

sorry i could not help you out though dude. well right now i tryed to varify the game filess thru steam and am in the process of downloading something . i hope it fixes it . ill let you know the outcome.

Use CryptycError.exe
Normally you will find it in "c:programs\steam\steamapps\common\startrekonline"

If this wouldn't help, please download and install this Launcher:
http://files.startrekonline.com/launcher/Star%20Trek%20Online.exe

Should this doesn't help either, please let me know, so we can try something different.

im still screwed same BS . to test the launcher i even tried signing in to my other account that i know diddnt crash the last time i used it . With the same BS results And i dont understand what you mean use CryptycError.exe thats the file that already starts and pops up the opps window. And i was just about to spend real money on this game im glad i didnt and not sure if i ever will now. But whats pissing me off the most is one of the last things i did was buy a 10 pack of keys with dil And now this is happening. grrrrr ANd of corse this will most likly make me miss out on the ann. ship. just like i got screwed durring the summer event with the corvette.

let me ask this clear. Did you Re-Install the Launcher or not?
If yes und you have the same problem, check if you got the newest Net.Framework-Update (there was one a few days ago).

It's a bit unusual, but for STO, Steam will not find or fix any problems beyond the game launcher. For an in-game problem (basically anything after you click on "Engage"), you have to use the game launcher's "Force Verify" option to check & fix any corrupted game files.

I found that it did that setting it to fullscreen in the launcher helped as I was getting random closing of the game on launch.
