Memory Alpha - Past tense in most species articles
The articles for Ferengi, Vulcan, Borg, Human and Andorians all use the past tense.
"Most Andorians were blue-skinned ..."[en.memory-alpha.org],
"Humans, also known as Terrans ..., were a warp capable ..."[en.memory-alpha.org],
"The Vulcans or Vulcanians were a warp capable ..."[en.memory-alpha.org],
"The Ferengi were a warp capable humanoid species ..."[en.memory-alpha.org]
- all past tense.

Whereas the Klingon article is present tense:
"The Klingons are a humanoid warrior ..."[en.memory-alpha.org].

I don't know ALL the Star Trek canon. But did the Klingons win?
Because based on the tenses used in the articles it's as if everything but the Klingons are extinct. What happened?

I know the Borg was defeated in First Contact. But everything else?

Grammar is pretty confusing when talking about fiction set in the future.

So unless the current year is beyond the fiction, or the articles on Memory Alpha are from the future, they made a mistake.
