new player looking for a group

I'm thinking of giving this ago but i dont want to join and wander around aimlessly trying to figure out wtf to d do or where to how how to fit my ship ect. so are there any groups that would take a noob under there wing?

Energy Credits are earned by fighting with your ship and selling stuff like tier 10 (not that you'll get tier 10 stuff when you just begun, you can get some stuff from me if you want to earn some fast Energy Credits :P ), you can get ZEN by paying REAL LIFE MONEY (Around 4,50 euro for 500 ZEN...), you can buy ships from the ZEN you bought OR (!) you can go to the site (forgot what site) (forgetting everything today, sorry...) and earn some FREE ZEN (not that you'll get much for 1 offer, but still, it's free :D ), and dilithium is earned by mining dilithium ore, if you are in a fleet you can jump to the base, then teleport via the teleporters (...) to the mining facility and go mining there (you'll need a suit, forgot the name of it, but you can get 1 for a few Energy Credits I think, or free...)

You get a newship every 10 levels until level 40.

Yup, got my last ship with my Klingon already.. Now starting with some Romulus, they only got warbirds, on 1 side, great, because they all have the Rumulan Battle Cloack, but on the other side ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up because they have nothing else... Whith what did you start Gary? Fed, Romulan or Klingon?
