Landing on Q'onoS
Feeling like the n00best of n00bs right now. After some hours of gameplay and a few advancements, I finally did some side missions to accumulate money and buy stuff (and want to sell unused things as well). So I fly back to Q'onoS, enter the system, am mooring above the planet - but how do I get down to First City now? I must be really overlooking something, since googling does not turn up any answers, which it usually does when I'm my stupid self. Help would be greatly appreciated.

Fly toward the planet, then a small window will appear where you can click to beam down... i think... i usually play fed, my clingon char was used a long time ago

Thanks, that actually worked (I tried it before but did not actually fly far enough apparently).

I do find it a bit strange, though, that you have to do this extra step in an area where there's not really something else to do (unless I'm majorly mistaken)

There's sometimes missions starting in space there, and you can fly directly to the orbital shipyard instead of landing then beaming up to it.

You can also fly to the shipyard (the station nearby) as well as a transwarp gate of some sort. (I think it's to the collector's/legacy edition thingy, IIRC.)

If u are Star Trek 700 days veteran u also may go to a nebula where Captain's table is...also some missions as someone says, starts at space so u are away enough to the planet/station to allow you to do that .thats why there and in many other systems (granalda, drozana, risa, etc) u must fly towards the planet/station to beam down or dock.

Thanks for all the info. Will try that out - although it is still 690 odd days to go before becoming a 700 day veteran ;)
