Yes, I have opened them every time they have been out trying to get a Kobali ship for my bridge collection. But I know people in game that have been successful so I know it's possible even though I have not been lucky with this particular element of the game.

All I need is one lousy epic so I can get the Kobali Samie, so I can scrap it for the warp core or engine, or whatever it is, to complete the Kobali space set. It's a freaking rip-off of the century! They taking all my dil, and my time, and all the zen it takes to buy all the dil, eventually it's gonna start to cost real money after I run out of zen.

Not really a rip off. It's a really, very fantastic giveaway. Dilithium is free. Upgrading gear can be VERY VERY expensive, and the Phoenix promo allows it to be very very cheap. If you're doing it for a ship... well you're going to be very disappointed. I opened well over 500 of them before I got an Epic, then I got two of them in a row. But I didn't do it for the epic tokens, I did it for the upgrades. It's intended as a dilithium sink, since so many people have so many millions of dilithium in stock with little to nothing to actually spend it on... It's worked quite well. They still need some other sink options though.

Offically, the phoenix tech upgrades cost the same amount of dil as the normal superior versions, assuming you open a phoenix pack on an uncommon token.

I've opened a bunch of these over time. The ships really aren't the biggest prize in the token store. The real prize is the gear upgrade tokens you can purchase for the lowest level of prize token. Upgrade tokens, emotes, red mater capacitor, and AP torpedo and AP console are the sweetness.

The Bulwark's decently tanky. Most of the ships in the Phoenix Prize Pack aren't all that good.
