The absolute best in rogue-like gaming. Dungeons uses an excellent skill selection, character customization (not appearance), and many random elements to provide for a hundred different ways to play. You can become a warrior with high damage and defense, a rogue with high counter-chance and dodging, or a mage with magical abilities. Actually, if you wanted, you could become a combination of any of them, or even all three. And the loot is plain awesome. I normally pick up everything - be it an aged-steak or a magical robe - and take them to the wizard's pocket dimension to be sorted. It's kind of a organized mess, with piles all along the walls and floor. There are piles of mushrooms, gems, food, armor to be used in smithing/tinkering, tinkering parts, ingots for smithing, and stuff waiting to be sold. And anything that isn't worth selling or keeping gets turned into lutifisk. Yep, lutifisk. You might be asking yourself "Why I would be turning random junk into lutifisk?", and if not, you might be asking youself "What the heck is a lutifisk?" but all well be explained in due time. Furthermore, you lutifisk haters, it is not rotten fish but just fish that.....well it kind of is rotten fish but it tastes good with butter. So there. Anyways, I would highly recommend Dungeons of Dredmor to just about anyone who likes games with random elements. And even to most people who don't.
