Lutefisk Paradox within pocket dimension?
Hello,

I've just tried doing a lutefisk paradox while I was in my pocket dimension.

I got a message something along the lines of "You just broke time and space" AND THEN THE GAME CRASHED!

Is this actually intentional?
I get the game is meant to be difficult and punishing, but why would they force the game to close entirely for the sake of a joke?

I can't speak for the devs, but I would guess that they didn't figure out how to fix the bug, but they did figure out how to trap for it. It's like the old Rogue crash message "And then the dungeon collapses". It's what is known as an error handler. You may want to post what happened in the Gaslamp Games forums: http://community.gaslampgames.com/forums/bugs.6/

turns don't tick when in the Pocket Dimension, and triggering an explosion is reliant on the ticking of turns to actually, you know, explode. the crash makes sense, I think, and like Haldurson says, it makes sense they didn't come up with a cumbersome work-around to make explosion ticks work but not spell or food ticks, etc etc, rather than just a funny message and letting you crash anyway

Why not just make it so that you can't drop a lutefisk cube into another lutefisk cube while inside the pocket dimension?

That would have required another exception in the code, I imagine. I'm not sure whether it would be hard or not, but just adding a message box before the crash was probably easier.

Maybe I got it all wrong, though. An intentional crash when doing something very specific is kinda harsh, but not unreasonably so, for a rogue-like.

Yeah, I would prefer it were meant as an intentional joke rather than an easy band-aid over a bug.

Plus on the bright side it's a simple way to get that achievement if they don't bother fixing it.

Because they want you to either blow yourself up or sell the cubes, You may even survive the explosion, I have twice so far. On the plus side, you did unlock two achievements, one for crashing the game and one for causing a paradox.

I'm betting on completely intentional, look at everything else about the game, the weapons that hurt you back, the corruption systems, the achievements that are near impossible to reach(Sewer Brew) and the general unfair nature of Rougelikes as a genera.
