Is the Sewer Brew achievement still broken?
If so, is there a way to mod it in the xml files by cheating?

I don' t think that that achievement is broken, it's just that it requires an out-of-game activity to earn. It's a 'secret' achievement (well, not so secret anymore) that was just put in for fun.

Yep, you'll have to track down a dev and chug a beer in front of him while pelting him with buisness cards with your SteamID on them.

It's the hardest of all the dubious achievements to get in any game.

thats a lame achievment...almost unachievable, would be great if they removed or reworked this one. Isnt fun blocking people progress (for ppl who like gettin 100%) for a joke..

This is why Gaslamp refers to all of them as "Dubious Achievements". Because it's a game, you have achieved nothing that nobody else can't. Yet there are people that obsess over them so they made one almost nobody could actually be picked up just to drive those people up the wall.

No, it'd be great if more developers did this so that people could get it through their thick skulls that not everything is easily achieved and that your hand will not always be held. And it's a lame achievement if it's actually hard to get? Hah. That's exactly what an achievement is, buddy.

Most video game 'achievements' are impossible to avoid and only exist to stroke your ego. They are typically a side effect of casual mass marketing and serve no actual purpose other than to sell more games. If you're an achievement hunter then you're being used, either wittingly or not, plain and simple. Perhaps Sewer Brew is a way for the developer to make a statement against this lazy and manipulative 'achievement culture'.

The achievement does not 'block your progress'. If someone broke your keyboard in half, that might block your progress. Who says you have to get every achievement?

In real life, you can't get everything that you want. Even Donald Trump doesn't get everything he wants. To get everything you want, you'd better want less.
