Bugs/glitches like that really kill the game more than anything else.
Oh well, it's still fun and I'm still playing, but I can't say it's not annoying.
I usually don't have serious problems playing. But, my current game is heavily modded, and I suspect that it is contributing to my current stability issues. I don't know if its a specific mod or mod interaction that is causing the issue, or just the shear bulk of all of the mods, but my game does crash fairly frequently to the point where I'm considering just abandoning it and starting over. I'm on level 8 gr/pd with a pure crafting build, and great, heavily encrusted gear defense at about 89, magic reflect about 75, so I think I can go all the way with it if not for all of the damned crashing. I hate starting over, but I hate even more to keep reloading the game from my last autosave. Most of the time I either don't use mods, or I only use a few.
So my advice is to be wary about how many and which mods you use. If you have crash a lot with mods, but don't crash all that frequently without them, that should tell you something (it told me a whole lot). Mods are great, but they probably should be used in moderation.
Not every problem may be solved, and not all of the ones that I've seen were related to actual program bugs (far too many were actually due to steam). The program is NOT completely bug-free, and there is still some work being done on it. But it has been very slow lately because they have another big project that they are working on. GLG is a small company, and while they DO make a good effort to address problems (lately more and more through community people such as Daynab), you may not necessarily get a solution.
The game IS relatively stable, but it's not perfect. I did recently find a replicable crash, and so I uploaded my save file, and it's been verified as replicable, and they are working to fix the problem. They really are quite helpful when the people asking for help are reasonable and post on their forums.
Hey Mazey, when is the last time they released a "Multiple patches and expansions to this game?"
To answer your question though since you don't seem to consider it important to backup what you say with hard data, the last patch released was August 24, 2012. When was the last expansion? Mid july, 2012. So for..... a month give or take a week they released bug fixes. It has been completely quiet for nigh on a year. Usually, in the busines world people Warranty their products for nearly 90 days minimum. These "patch updates" usually continue for about 6 months in the Software Industry.
Also, when are comments like, "Personally reply to you and give you individual care because you're some how more important than everyone else? What?"
Defintely constructive, and in no way meant to be antagonistic.... right? Actually, quite a few people experience this problem, according to the official forums, and many people quit playing it because of it.
So again, your straw man is effectively weak and very easy to tear down, as I don't think I am more important than others, as I am not the only one in the community who would like to see some VERY much needed stability in their game save file structures.
Quit with you asinine Straw man tactics and try to be a little less troll next time you want to pull some kind of fanboy remarks about my posts.
