Of course, I suppose someone could just backup their entire installation directory and restore if things go bad too.
This made me laugh for a few minutes.

But since this game has crafting (and it wouldn't be very fun to craft a random item most of the time), little things like this take the place of more traditional roguelike randomization mechanics.
But now you know. Gnomeish Hats do X. Some other item may do Y. Always be careful what you wear, and never blame the game when you die. It's never unfair, it just seems that way sometimes.
