An excellent adaptation of the movies, G:TV features the voices of the original four in an all-new story which uses the power of the medium to take players to locations more fantastic than any seen in the films. You can really tell that Aykroyd and Ramis wrote the script, as it basically sounds like what you'd expect Ghostbusters 3 to be; witty, fast-paced, and full of dry humour.
The actual ghost-busting feels a bit like fishing, where you have to slowly reel in your catch while working patiently against their occasional bursts of strength. You'll learn to use four weapons over the course of the game, each of which is animated and soundboarded to fit with the atmosphere created by the canon proton pack. You'll have plenty of your own "Nice shooting, Tex" moments as well, as when you miss you'll burn walls and ignite furniture, with the damage you do all being tracked in a separate score counter and charged to the State of New York.
Even at full price this title is worth purchasing. It's a rare example of a license done right, while not being so slavishly devoted to its source material that you know what's going to happen before you boot it up. Strongly recommended.
