this game sucks on linux because simultaneous processing doesn't work
you have to wait after every prime instead of getting "live" action. it's not 1999, my computer can handle the load, your programmers apparently can't port properly.

Maybe you should add an proper bug report instead insult the programmers.

AI calculations were greatly sped up in the iPad and Android ports. This amongst other improvements will eventually be backported to the PC version.
