Working Windows 7 fix for more than 2 gigs of ram.

You no longer need to change memory on startup to 2024. I have Windows 7 64 bit with 4 gigs of ram (4096 MB) and this works great.. First download this link,unpack, place the .dll in act of war directory. Also Change your shortcuts to Windows XP sp3 compatibility mode and run as admin.. Works for me and everyone else I have talked to. Here is the link to the file..

Hey! I would love to test the proxy file and see if it's any different but gamefront does not work anymore, would you like to upload it to somewhere else like mediafire or moddb?

I am sorry mate, but this solution has been mentioned many times,There's even a guide for it in Direct Action hub, and a thread here as well, it's been there for quite some time already.

The file you posted is the same one created by tomsons26.

There are 3 known start up errors in this game, this proxy solution fixes the first two of them, which fixes probably about 90% of the players, a small group of people aren't so lucky however, they experience a third error that is related to "kernel32.dll" and so far no fixes are found.

I appreciate your work and your files but this has been discussed alot of times. You are a little late to the train :hee:.

I seen the other posts but I tried to go into more detail on how to use it fr those that are not good working files. To bad it doesnt work for you. Before I used this fix I had to do the change the start up ram to 2024.. And now I dont need to do that anymore I can just leave it at 4 gigs of ram and it works great..

Strangely enough it didn't work for me. I downloaded the file d3d9 and placed it into the main game folder. The intro works, but after that I get an error:
"Exception 'EAccessViolationTreason.exe at 0000C998..."
I have tried fixing through the CFF Explorer, but that had no effect at all. I've tried running it as administrator, in every possible combination, from XP to Vista and still no success. Act of War DA worked for me with that d3d9 fix, but with HT no success. Can it be the fact that DA was not a steam edition, while HT is a steam edition? Any suggestions?

It could be that the High Treason you have is a steam version and that is the problem but I really don't know. I don't use the steam version and it does work with it. It may be that they are on different patch versions.
